1977, age 17, my very first painting

This is the very first painting I created at 17, after my first and only art class in highschool.  I had gifted this painting to a relative.  Never framed and a little shabby around the edges, it's in fairly good condition, even though it survived a number of moves and I suspect that it probably never even made it onto a wall.   It was on it's way to the dump about a year ago and another relative claimed and asked if I wanted it back.  While I am sad that it was not loved or appreciated by it's original recipant, I will be forever grateful that it made it's way back to me, thirty three years later.

  1. Serendipity! I think it's great. You were clearly meant to get it back and put it in this world wide gallery for us all to see :)

  5. Beth, love the wineglasses. I did some a while back and loved doing it, but worried a lot about selling them and the careful washing they require. Worried the person will wash the paint right off - would love to know your experience with it.

  6. Glad you like my wineglasses. I use Enamel paints by plaid, made especially for glass. It is waterbased and non-toxic and after baking the glasses, first time made me nervous, but it was a piece of cake, the paint is permanent. They are dish washer safe after that, but I always recomment hand washing delicate glassware. So there you have it, you should give it a try. :)
